Levis

Me and my flatmate Syrah went to buy my boyfriends 'flat' birthday present last week. We ended up buying a Levis denim shirt and meeting the most wonderful sales assistant ever. As he was wrapping up the shirt, I noticed the gorgeous, unique and very 'Levis' tissue paper. He was lovely enough to roll me up about five metres of the stuff so I can do a blog on it.

The wrap is simple white tissue paper printed with a cartoon style type that looks very hand-drawn, it gives it a personal touch. It is then sealed with the classic Levis horse logo. The copy tells you the story of how Levis jeans came about - it's like wrapping the new products in a little bit of the Levis history. the bag is beautiful too; a simple brown paper bag with a slightly corrugated feel  printed with the black Levi's name. The card is really thick and looks like it'll take a lot of wear and reuse. This kind of links back to my post on Hollister and their almost advertising scheme they create by reuse of their bags as a status item.

It's nice to see stores taking care with their customers, it makes me want to go back and buy from them. The little personal touches make it more engaging with the consumer; we want more!

The bag, the wrap and some close ups:

I'm thinking a lovely frame could be done with the tissue paper wrapping... Maybe with my Jack Wills, Hollister and Chanel wrap too.
