Swift Plasters

Design Application September 09 - January '10
The brief was split in two, the first part to add value to a basic product (in my case plasters) and then secondly create a 3 piece marketing strategy for your new product.

My new product was a soft plastic pack of plasters that only one piece of backing has to be removed in order to apply, removing the hassle packaging removal. The size, no bigger than the plaster itself, and flexibility of the packaging makes it a convenient product that can be carried around easily in a handbag or pocket without damaging the plasters.

The product is primarily aimed at busy mothers who need to tend to children who fall over quickly without any fuss. This was the basis of the two boy and girl magazine adverts that would be placed in own brand publications such as ADSA magazine, Boots magazine, and Sainsburys magazine where you could also buy the product. The third media was also targeting sales points by using the movement of the automatic doors to simulate the easy sliding action to remove the plaster, both interesting for a child and eye catching for parents.

  1. Good work Katie. I especially like the ambient Sainsbury's door advert. Very clever and delivers the idea of your plasters well.
