Over this semester (February-May 2010), instead of being giving a large brief and working on it over the entire 11 weeks, each week we're given a new 'section' to the brief which will eventually all combine for a final project related to the olympics. Today we were told, the eventual outcome will be to persuade the target audience to participate in, take up, or watch a sport at the 2012 or 2018 Olympics.
These will updated and redone slightly over the Easter Holiday, but I'll leave these up to see the progression and any critique.
Week 1 - Research a randomly allocated audience and their digital habits. My target group is families with parents over 60.
Week 2 - Research a randomly allocated sport, in isolation and in relation to your target audience. My allocated sport is beach volleyball.
Week 3 - Come up with five strategies to persuade your target audience to participate in your sport.
Week 4 - Choose your favourite strategy and come up with six concepts to support it. I have chosen my strategy as making beach volleyball a way of bringing the whole family together.
