I am currently exploring two ideas, one is "invisible time" and the next is time as a cycle. This is such a broad brief I've gone back to my photographic routes and it's going to give me chance to explore something more conceptual rather than commercial design.
I've been experimenting with some visuals over the past few days which has resulted is some interesting results - I'll keep you posted on the development of the project!
Invisible Time - Spectacular everyday moments that the human eye will never experience.
(Light a firework; The last drop of milk)
Time is a Cycle - A single 360° photograph showing 24 hours
(Test shot of 2 hour sunset)
Again, not an artsy person, but in my final year at uni we had a 'New Media Arts' module in which I produced something based on a similar topic - Effort.

I won't bore you with a massive explanation (read the text on the link if you want that).
Anyway, I'm not so keen on the final product (poor imagery, not enough stories), but it got lots of praise from the tutors (and a surprisingly great mark) because of the thought that went into the interactivity and delivery.
I think the openness of an "any media, any aspect" project is just asking to explore such things as interactivity and delivery.
Obviously, this suggestion can easily be binned based on skills available and timescale; but it's worth some consideration!
